Note from Steve:
I first joined RC4W March 1985 with only a 1992 Subaru Brat. Quit the club to go to college in April 1988. Re-joined RC4W April 1991. Quit again to move to Denver in March 1994. Upon returning from an expensive 3 years in Denver with a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 4X4 Diesel, I rejoined RC4W August 1997 and let my membership expire in 1998.

In July 1992 we did Red Cone in Colorado. 3,2 miles South of Grant, Colorado; in Hall Valley July 4, 1992 we looked at Holy Cross. 8 miles into Homestake Road (#703). 18.4 miles North of Leadville [ Just West of Vail, 12 miles South of I-70 on US highway 24 ]

October 18, 1992 the club went to Twin Lakes. Trail start was at the 46 mile marker West of Laramie on highway 130. At the fork we took the road marked 103 then at the fork of "N" and "M" we took "M" and then road 205.

24.4 miles up the road from the Forks (Colorado hwy 287) we turned Left on CR162. Bald Mountain trailhead was just 3 miles away, it was 10:30 AM. The top of the trail was just 6.3 miles away. It was 4:00 PM when we got there. Everyone decided to try to complete the trail down the other side instead of risking what we had already been through. We turned around at midnight. Rod ran out of fuel at the forks at dawn, Monday . This is when the club decided to make the trips start on Saturday (in case we couldn't make it back the same day).

On February 27, 1994 Steve planned an Unofficial trip to Chivington Draw (just a few miles North of Cheyenne, still in Laramie County). It was one of about 3 times Steve's Subaru had the opportunity to pull someone else:

A few members went to the sand dunes near Walden, Colorado in January 1998:

We went to the base of Jelm Mountain and found some snow. Everyone either got to be pulled or pulled someone.
